CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS - WHERE DID THEY GO? CAN WE GET THEM BACK?!
If you spend any time on social media you've heard the term 'false equivalency' - well between comparing Don Cherry to Jess Allen to Justin Trudeau, this past week has elevated false equivalency to new heights. But 'false equivalency' is a product of a lack of critical thinking - an inability to think logically in favour of emotional reactions and cheering on your 'team'.
Where did critical thinking go? How did it slip away? How can we get it back? Can we get it back?? And why is critical thinking essential to a functioning democracy?
All important questions. Be prepared to think. Critically.
