This past weekend saw the first women’s football weekend, resulting in a combined attendance of 74,000 across the country with four of those games being held at stadiums. The largest turnout being for the North London Derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium setting a new record of 38,262 for a Women’s Super League game. These sort of attendances were unprecedented & now becoming true reflection of how far the women’s game has come. Long may it continue!
On Sunday Manchester City Women welcomed West Ham to the Academy Stadium. It was dominating display from Nick Cushing’s side, resulting in a 5-0 win for the blues, after a lull in results City are back on track & building on from the experiences from recent performances.
