A very well-used word, but do we understand it?

Gal 5.22-23

Kindness is core to who we are as Christians.

 

Kindness isn’t easy or simple

Easy idea. But when applied to those closest to us, much harder. 

 

How do we develop greater kindness?

 

It is part of the Spirit’s fruit. Given us by God. 

What are the qualities of kindness?

 

What does it mean to be kind?

• Generosity
• Consideration
• Open-heartedness
• Mercy
• Compassion
• Warmth
• Concern
• Friendliness
• Empathy
• Gentleness

Kindness has an impact

How do we express kindness?

• Be open to peoples needs and how you can help
• Be aware of the situation around us
• Be ready to have unconditional positive regard
• Look for the dignity of others
• Be nice!
