A homily for the third Sunday of Advent (Year A), by Bishop Thomas Daly: In today’s Gospel, John the Baptist appears to second guess his conviction that Jesus is the Messiah. Weighed down by much bad news in the world, we too may be shaken in our faith. Yet, Advent and Christmas allow us to recognize the real – though often unrecognized – ways God’s Kingdom is entering our world.
