S1E11 - Dawn learns about the Neuroscience of Early Childhood and Education with Mine Conkbayir
Hi and welcome to POD-CACHE, the portable CPD and best practice podcast from CACHE, presented by Dawn Newman - Editor of www.CACHEAlumni.org.uk
In this episode, Dawn talks to Mine Conkbayir, a passionate advocate of neuroscience informed training for Early Years Practitioners and Teachers. Mine recently completed a PhD around this subject and has developed resources, online courses and supported the development of the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in an Introduction to Neuroscience in Early Years.
Dawn and Mine talk about the way neuroscience knowledge could change how we educate children and the pitfalls of ignoring the new research around early childhood development. Mine also talks us through some great tips to support the development of self-regulation in children and the importance of our own wellbeing and self-understanding in co-regulation and behaviour.
