114 The Incarnation

On Tuesday January 7, Trey talked about the Incarnation. He pointed out that we can sometimes lose sight of the core of the gospel: God becoming a man in the person of Jesus Christ. Vatican II points out that in revealing the Father and the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ reveals man to himself. Trey explained that the body matters, there’s nothing in the body that’s not capable of having meaning, and if we study the life of Jesus, we will come to realize that how we treat our bodies and those of others have an enormous possibility to witness to the Gospel today. This week’s memory verse is 1 John 4:2, “By this you know the Spirit of God. Every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God.” Remember to pray, parent with a purpose, and prepare for God to amaze you, and He will!
