JOURNEY OF HOPE WITH RODNEY MATHERS (mathersrodney@yahoo.com)
Society & Culture
Hello!
I came home from prison in 2008. I was gone for 7 years and 11 months. There were instantaneously recognizable changes along with some surprise about things that hadn't changed. I've been home 12 years and off paper since 2010 when my sentence discharged.
This journey after incarceration is ever changing and hopefully an ever growing experience. Even after these 12 years, I'm still learning how to adjust. Every once in a while the big "x" on back turns neon and flashes in new situations for which I hadn't really anticipated. I had one of those experiences recently and I want to share it with you in the hope that it's something you can relate to.
I was certain that I was being screwed with by the DPS worker that was supposed to be renewing my driver's license because of my felony conviction. Turns out, I was wrong....
Join me as I discuss this experience and how it has changed me for the better.
Remember, if God is for you, who can be against you?
