#Ep.2: In our second episode of Runchatlive, we take a look at the importance of Health Care Professionals monitoring the language they use when communicating with people in pain.
It was sparked by a person who visited me last week with a letter from an orthopaedic consultant which as an explanation for the patient as to why they were in pain used the sentence "It's your anatomy". What's the problem with that I hear you ask. Well, watch the video and I will try to explain.
Feel free to add comments if there is anything you agree/disagree with, or just want to share an experience. And if there is anything running injury/performance related you would like to hear to hear discussed on Runchatlive then do let us know!
Note On These Early Episodes
The first few episodes of Runchatlive are just me (Matt Phillips) on a phone, so don't expect much in terms of visual quality! In Episode 8we start having guests!
If you'd like to help us spread evidence based intervention to runners, coaches & therapists then do please share our episodes across social media, especially on Apple Podcasts/iTunes as that really helps us reach new listeners. Thanks in advance and enjoy!
