Following last weeks match postponement due to Storm Ciara, Alan Mahon took charge of Man City Women for the first time as interim manager in front of a home crowd on Wednesday night for our WSL game against travelling Bristol City.
City were able to see out the game & pick up the 3 points against a much improved Bristol side. Later in the podcast, I chat to Rich Paish (@richpaish) from the Bristol City Women Supporters Club as we recap on the game. We hear from Alan Mahon speaking at full time & goal scorer Gemma Bonner!
This Sunday we welcome Ipswich Town Women & their travelling fans to the Academy Stadium for our 5th Round FA Cup tie! Nearly 400 Ipswich fans are expected to make the long journey north from the East Anglia region in what’s been a historic cup run for the tractor girls already. I caught up with Ipswich fan, Tom Whitby (@TomWhitby95 & @TGOT2019) to preview our weekends fixture.
