In our modern spirituality, we have often relegated the Person of God to a mere subject consisting of endless topics and virtues. We see the Christian life then as a pilgrimage conquering these many virtues and arriving to a place of sinlessness. God is supposed to help us in the growth of these subjects and virtues as we tackle them one by one. Is this really the heart of the New Testament?
