Think of all of the estimates that you have gone out on and found out that they wanted $20,000 worth of work on a $5,000 budget.
This has totally happened to us.
Customers would call in...
Scott would run out and spend an hour or so talking to them.
He'd come back to the shop and spend a couple of hours putting together a drawing and an estimate...
Then he'd set up another time to meet with them and spend another hour going over everything that they talked about...
And when they finally got down to looking at the price they'd say it was way more then they wanted to spend. 🤦
