CITYCHANGERS2: A PROVEN STRATEGY TO REACH OUR CITY (JOHN 4:3-30)

This one woman who encountered Jesus in a life changing way, reached her city for Christ. God cares about cities, because God cares about people, and cities are where most of the people of the earth live. Half the world’s population lives in cities, and the gospel has the power to change cities, as we see in Scripture and history. Often we hear of reaching our city, we think it as a noble but unattainable goal –it is something the church should do, but we think of the church as an entity unto itself, We don’t see ourselves being the instrument to reach our city, and even if we did, we have no idea how to go about reaching our city.

How do we go about it? Where do we even start? The story of this Samaritan woman reveals to us God’s strategy for us to reach our city for Christ. If each one of us will implement this strategy, we can reach our city for Christ.
