Society & Culture:Philosophy
Cultural relativity teaches, rather similar to subjectivism, that, "x is moral or not if and only if x is believed by the culture to be moral or not, when the culture believes it to be moral or not, for that culture." Does belief in this theory encourage tolerance, mutual acceptance and peace between different cultures. Or allow and encourage the opposite? And can we use Cultural Relativity to push back against the Nihilist?
