National Poetry Month Poem #10: Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, part 5: The Song of the Jellicles
Here's a fun fact for everyone: T.S. Eliot had a cat of his own that the family always called a Dear Little Cat. His daughter had a little bit of a speech impediment, so when she tried to say "Dear Little Cat," it came out as "Jeel licle cat," or, "Jellicle Cat," as we know it today.
So, that's where the word "Jellicle" comes from. You're welcome.
