The Downward Facing Spiritual Spiral
Society & Culture:Philosophy
What inspires you and gets you to stop scrolling or stop watching Netflix all day? Can discipline and motivation be taught or is it hardwired in people's DNA? I am thrilled to welcome author, coach, personal trainer and my friend Jen Widerstrom to the Spiritual Spiral Podcast. Jen is probably best known for being one of the trainers on the Biggest Loser or maybe you know her as Phoenix from the American Gladiators. I met Jen almost 12 years ago when she was starting out as a personal trainer working at Pulse Fitness Studio in Van Nuys, CA. Jen and I sit down and first talk about the coronavirus, how her day to day life has changed and what we can do to strengthen our immune system. We discuss motivation, discipline, staying focused and what inspires her and gives her the confidence to keep challenging herself with new projects and endeavors. Jen also shares personal stories about being a trainer on the Biggest Loser, the arduous process of writing a book and we also talk about the value of curiosity, being open to trying new things and the importance of a good support system. Be sure to follow Jen on Instagram. You can purchase her book on Amazon by clicking HERE and also be sure to check out her CBD company by clicking HERE.
