This year, after an election that will cap four years of unrelenting social, economic and political turmoil and upheaval in the United States, voters will select a president who will hold the nation's highest office for a new term of four years.
Given what we've been through as a nation, there should be a swarm of candidates, supported by a swarm of political parties, vying for our attention with their innovative ideas and agendas.
Instead, voters are once again faced with a tired rehash of the political handbook: Whittle the field down to two candidates, then give voters a choice -- between the lesser of two evils and the evil of two lessers.
