My Ex-Husband Tried to Murder Me. I Still Live With Compassion, with Lise-Marie (Part 1 of 3)
In this very special 3 part series, Adam gets to sit down Lise-Marie Dawn.
This is how Lise describes herself and the content for this interview. In my early 30’s I was married, was trying to have a child, and was committed to my career as Logistics Manager for Holland-America Princess... when I encountered a terrifying, heartbreaking near-death experience. In the course of a few minutes, everything changed. And my life as I knew it fell apart in the months to follow. I’m now 39, and I’ve spent the last 6 years healing and studying (in addition to normal life responsibilities). I wanted to understand how I caused the circumstances in my life, and how to transcend it. I’ve since discovered a deep passion to bring awareness and knowledge to the conversation surrounding domestic violence and early childhood trauma. I believe my purpose is to lift myself and others to the greatest authentic expression through daring passion and loving empowerment. This is my first invitation to speak on the subject in a public format, and I am so thrilled to be on the podcast! I spend much of my free time engaged in all different kinds of dance, but my favorite is Latin Dancing and Aerial Acrobatics. I’m advanced in conversational Spanish, though I have been out of practice for some time (maybe rusty) I actively studied and practiced Diamond Way Buddhism with a Buddhist community in Minneapolis, MN from 2003-2007. I still identify as Buddhist, but my practice has slowed considerably since moving back to Alaska. I discovered Buddhism when I was looking for a way to lower my stress level, and what I discovered was that I had always been Buddhist, I just never knew it.
