The Downward Facing Spiritual Spiral
Society & Culture:Philosophy
Do you listen to experts anymore? Do you listen more carefully when an expert is speaking? It almost feels like when you go on to Facebook, everyone thinks of themselves as an expert. Maybe we simply live in a world full of know-it-alls. Today on the Spiritual Spiral, I talk about the diminishing returns that come from being an expert and I share thoughts about a recent article from PBS about valuing expert opinions. I also share thoughts about my worries surrounding human to human interaction. Will people feel comfortable giving handshakes or hugs anymore? Is the world a better place if there are more germaphobes? Does anyone out there want to talk about building up the immune system or does the world simply want everyone to just stay home? I share thoughts about a fantastic article in the Atlantic called, "Flying Will Never Be The Same" and I also play a clip where Bill Maher discusses the coronavirus and why it may not make sense to force everyone to stay home.
