Hi friends,
Bb let us down again. Runs stuff together in an irrational way. Changes numbering. Very strange. So here we are!
Logic Final
Dr. Lee Basham
Great midterms! Now hit this as well. You have 3 days. That’s all they can give you. Relisten to the deduction pods. Especially the ACP and AIP one. This is super easy if you think like your putting together a puzzle! One with very few and rather simple shaped pieces.
Remember to review our connective Elimination, Introduction and Assumption rules (ACP, AIP).
So: Please preform the following natural deductions. The pods explain all these moves. Use the rules we have reviewed at length and don’t forget those line numbers!
Q1. What is the Definition of validity? What is the Definition of soundness? Is the following argument valid? Is it sound?
P1) The Communist party of China knew CV19 was spread through human to human contact.
P2) The Communist party in China did not tell the world and lied to the World Health Organization about this, as well as more than a hundred other countries.
P3) This deception caused the death of hundreds of thousands of people world-wide.
P4) If an institution or government hides the truth and this deception results in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, that institution or government is responsible for those deaths.
C) The Communist party of China is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.
Explain your position. First, is the argument valid? Second, look at the premises. Is the argument, if valid, sound? Please explain.
On to our deductions:
Hint: ACP
Hint: ACP
Hint: AIP
Hint DS
And finally,
Well….ok. I couldn't resist a happy summer gift!

Miss you guys!
