Originally trained as an art historian, Marina Kurikhina spent more than a decade working closely with leading contemporary artists as an international curator in London. The last three years saw Marina at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California researching connections between creativity and Human Potential. There Marina concentrated on expanded states of consciousness achieved through creative practices. The practical side of her research took the form of weekly art workshops where she combined artistic methods with Gestalt group therapy techniques and somatic awareness practices. Marina has since founded a Creative Subconscious platform, where she works with clients as a creative facilitator and a transformational coach, running workshops, retreats and collaborating with other practitioners in-person and online. Throughout her work, Marina has focused on helping others expand their understanding of artistic processes and rituals, in turn leading to deeper forms of artistic awareness.
