Perception is not reality, but, honestly, perception can become what appears to be a person’s reality (there is a difference) because perception has a potent influence on how we look at life and the world around us. We hear it all the time in marriages, in athletics, and in business anytime there is a disagreement or conflict: “Perception is reality.” This adage is often used to justify a particular perception that may be somewhat unjustifiable or just plain out of touch with what's true and not so true.
