At 5:00 p.m. on June 3, 2020, a justice rally took place at Plaza Park in Oxnard, California. Rally organizers addressed the crowd stating the purpose and expectations of the march. The speeches and testimony that were given focused on the killings perpetrated by the Oxnard Police Department. Some of the victims recognized and honored were Meagan Hockaday, Alfonso Limon, Robert Ramirez, Michael Mahoney, and Juan Zavala.
Following the speeches, the crowd took to the streets. The crowd marched to the Oxnard Police Department and chanted outside the windowed and brick structure. The people marched through streets, down Oxnard Boulevard, and through alleys, ending up at the 5-point intersection. Approximately 10 police officers on motorcycles monitored the march and met the crowd head-on at the intersection. It was a peaceful march in the name of George Floyd and all the aforementioned victims of police violence.
The audio is rough. I do not know the names of the speakers or the people in the photo.
