David is an adjunct clinical professor emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences at Stanford. He is the Gandalf of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
In this episode, David and I talk about the role that tears and laughter play in therapy, Resistance and some tips and techniques to melt it, the importance of developing metrics to understand if therapy is working, relapse prevention, the human condition, how a cat taught him about low self esteem, and much more.
