Kingdom Ownership

Cindy Stewart Podcast Show Notes Kingdom Ownership April 26, 2020 I love sticky statements. The kind of things people say, or write, that is memorable long after you hear, or read them. One such statement has recently been buzzing through my mind from a business book I read not too long ago. “Transform your employees to think like owners.” My background is in business. I have worked for several different companies throughout my life, but it was not until I grew in my understanding of business principals that I was able to shift my perspective and think like an owner. While I cannot pinpoint an exact time and date that my mindset changed, I know the season was while I was working for a family-owned and operated business. The owners treated their employees like family and welcomed feedback. For me, that feedback solidified my contribution to the company and caused me to feel personal ownership. In today's message, we will discuss how God created the family and encourages our personal ownership of its growth. We have been mandated to build His Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. Philippians 2:13 (AMP) says, “For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.” We were birthed out of God’s love (John 3:16,21) into Kingdom life. It is His love that opens the door to action and enables the transformation of our identity - body, soul, and spirit - so every action, thought, and word will reflect Christ and His Kingdom. When we change our mindset and walk in obedience to Christ, we carry His authority to take ownership of the great commission we have been given to make disciples and see His Kingdom established on the earth. It is my hope you will join me as we ask the Lord to transform our minds to think like the owners He created us to be.
