Following up a prophetic history lesson in Daniel 7, we find another prophetic history lesson which solidifies and confirms the message Daniel received just two short years prior. And while Gabriel the angel gives a clear interpretation of Daniel's vision in this one that leaves little to the imagination, there is still plenty that is left open to interpret! But no matter your viewpoint on end times, the Word seems to steer us away from focusing so much on the "when", but rather points us to focus on the "how" and "what": how we can be faithful until the end, and what we are to look towards for when the end will come. And if history can serve as a confirmation to what was fulfilled, we would do well to pay attention to what is written, and still to come!
