Jake Evans of the NHL's Montreal Canadians is our guest to the program this week. Jake is a native of Toronto Ontario, and originally got his start playing in the OJHL for the St. Michael’s Buzzers to maintain his NCAA eligibility where he was recruited and went on to play for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He had an excellent NCAA career and not only was he the Captain for the Fighting Irish in his senior year, he helped guide his team to a BIG10 Championship and was also a Hobey Baker Award nominee. Jake has been praised throughout his career for his consistency, having developed a reputation as a solid two-way player at nearly every level that he has played at. Winning seems to follow him, as he was also part of Team Canada who won the 2017 Spengler Cup in Davos Switzerland. Jake has had a brilliant start to his pro career in the AHL start and has already become a roster player in the NHL pour les Canadiens de Montréal.
