Amazing grace, how sweet the sound. Are you a wretch? Did God save you, a vile sinner? Then you and John Newton have something in common. He is perhaps most famous for writing the great hymn, Amazing Grace. But before he was an Anglican priest and hymn writer, he was the captain of a slave ship.
