GOOD NEWS / BAD NEWS:
The good news is that when Christians are tempted, GOD gives more grace (vs 6a); the "bad news" is "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." In other words, so long as I am bent on preserving my pride (my self-important reputation) I am disqualifying myself from receiving the benefits of God's grace to overcome trials, to withstand temptations.
