Matthew 5:9
In Matthew 5:9 Jesus pronounces a blessing on the peacemakers because they will be called sons of God. This immediately brings up the question of what type of peace is in view. What peace does Jesus have in mind? Why is this peace necessary? How is it made? Perhaps more importantly for us, how can we serve as peacemakers? After all, it is peacemakers, and only peacemakers, who will be blessed.
