Currently we tell teachers to prioritize social emotional learning for students, especially during this pandemic. But, who is taking care of the teachers? They have feeling and emotions too. Are teacher just supposed to get over it, just because they are adults?
In this episode, I begin the journey of exploring the power of social emotional learning for teachers. We are missing this component in education. I use an article from a teacher named Ryan Fan to highlight the challenges and share tips from Simon Sinek(It Starts with Why) and Elena Aguilar (Onward) on how we can start to navigate those challenges. Let’s start the journey to creating the condition for learning through social emotional support for teachers
