Claude Tranchant is a Brisbane (Australia) woman who at the age of 64 walked, on foot, alone, with a 14 kg backpack across France and Spain, along the St James' Way, commonly known in Spain as the 'Camino' and lived 100 days to the rhythm of her footsteps though she had never trekked before. Claude was born in Aix-les-Bains (France) in 1946. At the age of 33, she migrated with her little family to Australia. Thirty-three years later, on that day, she launched her first book ‘Boots to Bliss’ which is among the Best Selling books. It has been nominated by Vocal Media one the 6 books to read to inspire you to walk the Camino De Santiago. In 2016, at the age of 70, Claude walked the Larapinta Trail, Northern Territory (Australia), then in 2017 launched the Australian Premier of English Movie “Looking for Infinity: El Camino” as well as trekking in Nepal, Poon Hill trail, and reached the altitude of 3,210 metres. In 2018, at the age of 72, she walked for a documentary, about the Camino Frances, called “Camino Skies” with four New-Zealanders, two Australians, plus three members of the crew.
