Host Tori Walker met with Sue Abbott while she travelled with her husband to run the Everyday Evangelism course in Brisbane. Tori and Sue chat about evangelism and how Sue is spending her retirement years. Listen in as Tori gleans some of Sue's wisdom gathered over many years of serving Jesus in different contexts.
EPISODE NOTES:
Sue Abbott is married to Stephen, and has three adult children. She has happily supported her husband through his theological study and his work in Sydney Anglican Churches. She delights in hospitality ministry, and is now travelling around Australia with Stephen in their retirement teaching the Everyday Evangelism.
One of Sue’s favourite Bible passages is Psalm 46:10 “Be Still and know that I am God.” She says, “It is a great reminder that I am not in control and that my striving or becoming anxious about something won’t change things. It’s a very great comfort to remember that God is the Lord of all and I can rest in Him in any circumstance. It’s when I’m “still” that I can get perspective and can be assured God will work out His purposes.”
