Day 141

Father, 

We praise You for Your gentleness. Your gentleness has made us great. You are the source of all good things! 

But we’ve grown impatient with You, God. We’ve declared that Your gifts aren’t good enough. We’ve mistrusted Your heart and Your timing, and we’ve arrogantly demanded that You act instead of humbly requesting it. We’ve cried, “How long, O Lord?” but as an accusation against You. You are God and we are not, and we repent. Have mercy on me, a sinner. Our hearts aren’t steadfast like Yours, so we ask You to strengthen our hearts and make them clean. 

Give us meekness⁠—give us Your strength under control. Jesus, You are our model for humility and gentleness. You are our model for what it looks like to trust the Father’s plan and timing. And Spirit, You empower us to live out what Jesus modeled for us. Make us fruitful in the ways that matter eternally. 

We surrender our lives to You, Lord—every moment of our day, each decision we make, we yield our will and way to Your perfect will and way. 

We love You too. Amen.
