Father,
We praise You for Your intelligence—You are so smart! You hold every detail in Your hand, and You take all things into account. You don’t lose track of anything and none of Your plans fail!
We are not like You so have mercy on me, a sinner. We repent of our sins and turn to You and we ask You to make our hearts clean. We repent of our rebellion and turn our eyes to You, the only source of infinite value and eternal goodness.
Even though we bristle at it, we ask You to correct us when we sin, just like any good father would do. Would You help us to focus on the blessing You bring, rather than the suffering we endure? Romans 5 reminds us of all the good You produce from suffering: endurance, character, hope—and on top of that, we get to see the Holy Spirit at work in us!
We surrender our lives to You, brilliant Lord, King of every atom in the Universe—we surrender every moment of our day, each decision we make, we yield our will and way to Your perfect will and way.
We love You too. Amen.
