Father,
We praise You for making us lie down in green pastures and beside still waters. We praise You for restoring our soul and comforting us when we need it most. You don’t turn away from us in our sin—You actually pursue us in our sin, bringing us closer when our hearts have wandered off in foolish rebellion.
Our default is movement and hurry, yet You invite us to something different. And when we do move, it’s often toward rebellion, like the wicked man in Psalm 1. Have mercy on me, God—I’m a sinner. We repent of our sins and turn to You and we ask You to make our hearts clean.
Would You slow down our soul by slowing down our days? Would You supernaturally carve out time for Yourself in our schedule? Refresh us with Your Word and Your Spirit. Train us to be righteous in the way we think, act, and engage with the world around us. Train us to delight in You and Your ways! Cause us to flourish in the ways that matter!
We surrender our lives to You, Lord—every moment of our day, each decision we make, we yield our will and way to Your perfect will and way.
We love You too. Amen.
