Having just started the journey, the bride is now acutely aware of her immaturity and faults. In the midst of this she is also aware of a loveliness that has been imparted to her heart, a hope of total victory. When our faults hit us in the face will we retreat into a shell of shame or still lay our hearts in openness before God? The journey to mature love only reaches its goal as the bride receives mercy in her weakness and overcomes the stifling voice of the accuser.
