The European Commission needs to put its money where its mouth is and fund the renovation of buildings across the EU to make them more energy efficient.
That’s the recommendation from the Green Party MEP Ciarán Cuffe.
The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen this week said the EU needs to reduce its toxic carbon emissions by at least 55% by 2030. It’s all part of Ursula von der Leyen’s European Green Deal to make the EU carbon neutral by 2050.
Ciarán Cuffe says renovating buildings would go a long way to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
