VERSES ONE THRU FIVE
- The Word, “Logos.”
- Greek philosophy, “Universal divine reason.”
- Hebrew, From Genesis 1:1-2 and all the hundreds of times God’s word is cited as causative and authoritative.

- Before the creation, Jesus “was.”
VERSES SIX THRU EIGHT
- The Baptizer (Elijah who was to come)
