The Extra with Shannon Brinias - October 8, 2020

On Thursday's "The Extra", host Shannon Brinias was joined by CDOT's Region 3 Communications Manager Michelle Peulen and Safety Communications Manager Sam Cole, discussing a number of safety initiatives as well as new and continuing projects in southeast Colorado.  Cole spoke about a rise in highway fatalities in El Paso County, and the need to drive more safely through motorcycle awareness, ending distracted driving and knowing the danger of driving while high on marijuana.  Peulen gave updates on projects such as ramp meters on I-25, the Highway 50 Purcell Interchange project in Pueblo West, the I-25 Gap Project, Highway 24 construction and the impending start of the Highway 94 improvement project, also known as MAMSIP.  More information can be found at codot.gov/news.
