Bowling Green State University Ph.D. candidate Jackie Hudson joins us to talk about pioneering funk musician Roger Troutman and his band Zapp. Jackie and fellow student Kari Boroff were instrumental in securing funding for a new historical marker to mark the site of the former Troutman Sound Labs, the Troutman family's recording studio, which played a significant role in the Ohio funk music scene. In this episode, we talk to Jackie about that process.
