Krisha’s new favorite word is “sonder.” It means “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.” Some people make up names and backstories for strangers they see at parties or events.

Krisha sometimes gets recognized in public. Frank relates a story of a time when that happened to him. Frank turned up in the background of a photo of a friend he wouldn’t meet until several years later. Frank mentions the similarities between dance competitions, swim meets, and dog shows.
