Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas, Social and Political Philosophers! Here we look to the Marxist explanation of why, after society reaches the “End of History”, the will be no government at all.
The argument (reasoning) is fairly simple,
P1) Government exists to protect property (self and stuff).
P2) After the revolution we end classes and capitalism, we will have no property, because we will live in extreme prosperity.
P3) An institution only exists if it has a purpose, a function, something it is needed to do.
C) After the revolution we will see government vanish (like Dry Ice).
