Featured in TIR Episode 171, Part 1 of 2: Bassist-producer Mark Brown, who as BrownMark was a core member of Prince’s band The Revolution during their immense 1980s popularity. He also led his own protege band called Mazarati, released several albums under his own name and worked with many other well-known artists.
Following Prince’s death in 2016, he reunited to perform with the other original Revolution members and recently published his autobiography, titled My Life in the Purple Kingdom. Here he provides highlights of that book along with loads of insider details on his time before, with and after Prince.
