Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding is an epidemiologist and health economist. He's currently a Senior Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists and serves as the Chief Health Economist for Microclinic International. He was formerly a faculty member and researcher at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
He's recently gained prominence as an advocate for coronavirus preparedness. He initially brought the burgeoning pandemic to the public's attention in January of 2020, when most Americans still hadn't heard of the virus, and called on the CDC and the WHO to declare a public health emergency. He's since published daily COVID-19 reports on his social media (@DrEricDing) and is widely recognized as an expert on the subject.
In 2018, Feigl-Ding was a candidate in the Democratic primary for Pennsylvania's 10th congressional district. He refused to take corporate money and ran on a progressive platform advocating for science, universal healthcare, and public health.
