Abdel shares with us the moment when he nearly lost the opportunity to do an MSc in computer science and the steps he took to eventually secure a place.

Abdel Mahmoud is an incoming Google product manager and final year medical student at UCL. His previous startup was incubated at Facebook when doing an MSc in computer science. Prior to that he graduated Sandhurst as the youngest infantry army officer in the UK at age 19. Abdel also founded and presided over UCLs first Leadership and Management Soceity. His sports and hobbies include represented UCL nationally for triathlon and completing an Ironman.
