A.L.S. is a nasty diagnosis. They gave Creighton Rider 3-5 years to live and told him there was no cure or effective treatment. Worse, he knew nearly nothing about it. In 2008 life seemed to be spiraling out of control for he and his young family. He did not want to except this death sentence, but gradually the truth sunk in and was left a pretty bleak future. Running from adversity was not a great solution, especially when he realized that the world was going to move on with or without him.
Spend an hour with Matt and Creighton Rider as they share their story about A.L.S. Matt is a faithful Mi Duole team mate and opens up about making the most of life, having empathy for others, learning adaptability and letting things go.
Creighton shared this powerful quote in the podcast, Alexander Graham Bell once said: “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” He has learned to live by this philosophy.
We hope you enjoy Episode 11 and learn to love the Rider family like we do!
