It’s the last Sunday of January, the Super Bowl is next week, and Men’s hockey resumes play in the first contests of February during Episode 47. We had a trivia winner for a stumper of a question plus a Double Minor Fan Giveaway this week. Some NCHC, WCHA and NHL happenings are included in the Huskies Illustrated Weekly Roundup (10:32) before a quick recap of the St. Cloud State Women’s Hockey team around the 20-minute mark. We had a listener question this week about teams joining or leaving the NCHC (22:12), and the big topic of the day: how in the world will the NCAA do this year’s tournament, what is the format and how will selections work (31:56)? Finally, LA Kings forward Sean Walker was injured against the Minnesota Wild with a shot to the face. This begs the question: should the NHL and college reconsider helmet and visor rules (55:02)? The guys give their Super Bowl predictions as well: is it Tom Brady or the up-and-coming Kansas City group? Don’t forget, former SCSU Athletic Media Relations Director Tom Nelson joins us this Tuesday (Feb. 2nd). All this and more in another week in the Den.
