Mat Rocca is a BJJ Black Belt training under the Cicero Costa banner with Professor Fernando Zulick but his beginnings in MMA and BJJ stretch further in the sports rich history. As the UFC began to grow in the shadows so did the now legendary teams with its first athletes. One of those teams was the Ken Shamrock led Lions Den MMA in California. Mat takes us through his experiences training with some of the sports legends like Ken Shamrock, Vernon White, Guy Mezger, Frank Shamrock and many more in the team earliest days. The wild days of the UFCs earliest events, it's competitors and it's ever changing landscape to what it is now.
We also discuss the longest rivalries that the sport has known between the Lion Den and other.
