What a joy for this challenge to learn! This is what I truly love of Word on Fire.

In today’s discussion, Covid, kids out of school, etc. came up yet again. The WOF discussion is quite different today than when we were in the thick of Covid. My 3 young nieces are active bedside nurses. They shared their stories with me: 19 year old death, husband and wife screaming that covid is a hoax. They died the next day. 3 patient deaths a day was common. My pediatric neighbor had to care for adult respiratory patients. Is there a more kind and respectful way to discuss covid?

So informative. Thank you Bishop Barron and Dr Ratner-Rosenhagen. The part when you mentioned America as the new frontier it made me think of Davy Crockett… king of the wild frontier 😆 (I grew up with two older brothers who used to bellow this song around the paddocks at home in Oz)

So so true and something that needs to be shared. Through healthy disagreements and fruitful conversations we will all grow in wisdom and love, for God and others.

One thing could be discussing beatitudo and of course what will not ultimately not make you happy. I have found that despair ain't the way.

My search for a common denominator was looking for a way to bring us all together. I think the Catholic Church is best suited. Studying your messages along with some others is hopeful. Christ accepted me the way I was at 52 now at nearly 82 and a practicing artist I am part of a small group of men coming together in central texas. You are opening a door that is otherwise difficult to enter.

I Enjoy your lectures, podcasts, sermons and discussions. “ do not fear” resolved some issues for me, especially in these times. I have never thought about being Catholic until I started researching a common denominator of all Christian faiths respecting the Spirit of Truth and the realty of Christ in us and Holy Spirit infilling our conscience. A personal relationship ( Christ in us “ the Holy Spirit, along with his presence in communion “ the Eucharist”.
