The presenters are correct in saying that despite all efforts to silence Morton, his ideas have reached us in our time. They come to the conclusion that suppression does not work. The fact is that suppression did work in shaping the widely accepted myths of our nation’s founding, as we only become conscious of the truth centuries after the fact. It is a dire warning that we cannot wait 3 or 4 more centuries to repair the damage of book banning and truth suppression going on now.
This is a good review, particularly for Americans unfamiliar with that whole area, and it’s long-standing conflicts

thankyou. this is really important.... practically..what to tell my kids about common language, race, and those swastikas they sometimes draw unknowingly. now I know they are Noble in sanscrit, I think I will reclaim those symbols.
